So sorry for taking so long to update you all… so much excitement! First of all we had a wonderful New Year’s Eve at our dear friends’ house, the Christians. They have a party every year and we were so excited to include Porter in the festivities! He had so much fun meeting more friends and seeing old ones. We had dinner and partied until 2:00 am! Porter is a party animal already!
After the New Year, our friend Andrea came to town to visit and to introduce us to her new fiance. My high school best friend, Callie, came in town too and all of us met up for brunch with the husbands and babies!
On January 19, I celebrated my 32nd birthday. Zach was in Houston, so it was just me and Porter. My mom came in town on Saturday (the 23rd) to stay with Porter so Zach and I could go to dinner and celebrate my birthday with all our wonderful friends. Porter had so much fun playing with Grandma! Grandma couldn’t believe how much he had grown and changed in such a short time. Thanks Mom for coming to babysit and giving us a night out!
On Monday, the 25th, Porter had his 2 month well baby checkup with the doctor. He had 4 vaccinations and was so brave. He only cried for about 10 seconds, but it seemed like eternity to me. He now weighs 12 pounds, 1 ounce (60th percentile) and is 23 1/2 inches long (75th percentile). The doctor said he is very long already and is on track to be tall like Daddy! Thank goodness he didn’t get my heighth, or lack thereof! The doctor said he is doing great and is a beautiful baby, but I already knew that! We seem to have gotten his constipation problems solved after a visit to a pediatric gastroenterologist. He suggested prune juice and it did the trick! Porter goes back to the doctor at 4 months, and we are so happy he is healthy and thriving!
Oh, I love that little guy so much. Thanks for all the great pictures.
Just loved sharing the New Year’s Eve pictures and seeing, again, what a wonderful family of friends you and Zach have. Porter has quite a nice size crew of babies/children to enjoy as they all grow up together. What a great blessing for you all. It was nice to see all the people from your wedding and how they are doing now too. Love to all
